The Neighbourhood

As Tyndale University, at 3377 Bayview Avenue, sits atop a landform that provides generous greenspace rolling down into the adjacent ravine and German Mills Creek, respecting and protecting the natural heritage of the site will be a paramount concern in the redevelopment. Tyndale Green will be defined by a generous system of pedestrian-oriented pathways and landscaping that accentuates the natural ravine on which Tyndale sits, taking advantage of the beautiful natural setting. A focus on native plant species that mesh with those found in and around the ravine itself will be a central principle of the landscape design across the site, and the new community will provide new points from which to take in the ravine vista, and also offer new and improved points of entry to existing ravine pathways. The architecture will be sensitive to the character of both the existing Tyndale buildings and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

The site is a short bus ride down Bayview to the Bayview subway station and the Bayview Village Shopping Centre.
